Hrithik Roshan’s wax statue at Madame Tussauds Museum in London - Photos: Hrithik Roshan unveiled his wax statue at the world famous Madame Tussauds Museum in London today.

The wax statue is a spitting image of the superstar, dressed in a jeans and sleeveless shirt with those six packs catching the eye. Often called an actor with brains and brawns, Hrithik was visibly moved at the statue’s unveiling. He was accompanied by his parents, Rakesh Roshan and Pinky Roshan, his wife Sussanne Roshan and two sons. Even Hrithik’s grandfather J Om Prakash accompanied him to the statue’s unveiling.

“I was stunned when I saw my wax figure,” Hrithik said after the unveiling. He also spoke emotionally about how he visited the Madame Tussauds museum for the first time as a kid with his grandfather.

Hrithik Roshan's Wax statue in London, Sussanne Roshan Tweets: Bollywood hunk Hrithik Roshan is on his way to London to be measured for his wax replica at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in the city.

An elated Sussanne Roshan gushed over Twitter this morning:

"On my way to London tonight..H doing his measurements for madam Tussards. All excited to see him get waxed. Historic moment for us."

Madame Tussauds, London, announced their decision to honor Hrithik with a wax replica in July.

"We are delighted to confirm that the leading Bollywood actor, Hrithik Roshan, will be the next Indian star to feature here at Madame Tussauds. Hrithik's figure will join our other leading Bollywood actors including Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan," states the Museum website on its coming soon page. The other name on this page is of Russell Brand.

The replica will be installed by early 2011.

Shahrukh Khan New wax figure Unveiled at Times Square, New York: Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan is indeed making his presence felt throughout the world. He already has a couple of wax replicas posing pretty at celebrated museums across continents, and now his new wax figure will be unveiled at Madame Tussauds at Times Square, New York, on Thursday.

SRK’s replica, dressed in a nifty black suit, will be placed in the museum’s colourful and scintillating ‘Bollywood Zone’ which makes the guests feel as if they were on the set of a Bollywood film. The wax figure will be placed in front of a replica of the Taj Mahal.

Before the unveiling, there would be a performance by a dance troupe to one of the songs from SRK’s film My Name Is Khan. The wax figure’s unveiling coincides with the release of the film’s DVD.

My Name Is Khan was a rage at the US box office when it released earlier this year.
