'The King's Speech' bagged the best film title at Oscar

'The King's Speech' bagged the best film title at Oscar: Tom Hooper’s “The King’s Speech” bagged the title for best film at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards here Sunday.

The award was presented by Steven Spielberg.”The King’s Speech” was competing with Darren Aronofsky’s “Black Swan”, David O. Russell’s “The Fighter”, Christopher Nolan’s “Inception”, Lisa Cholodenko “The Kids Are All Right”, Danny Boyle’s “127 Hours”, David Fincher’s “The Social Network”, Lee Unkrich.’s “Toy Story 3″, Joel Coen and Ethan Coen’s “True Grit” and Debra Granik’s “Winter’s Bone”.

The film had 12 Oscar nominations this year.

Aishwarya Rai & Abhishek Bachchan is going to attend Oscars!

Aishwarya Rai & Abhishek Bachchan is going to attend Oscars!: The most charismatic couple of Bollywood is going to attend Oscars this Sunday. Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, who are currently in Los Angeles, have been invited by the Academy to attend the Oscars.

Amitabh Bachchan himself broke the news first. The superstar blogged yesterday about Abhishek-Aishwarya meeting Warren Beatty at a store in LA. He writes, “Oh ! And incidentally they were getting fitted at a clothes store, for the Oscars Award ceremony for Sunday - Warren and Abhishek ! Ya , Abhishek and Aishwarya have been invited by the Academy to attend the Oscars on Sunday.”

Director Ashutosh Gowariker is also invited and may attend the Oscars.

By the way, A R Rahman is also going to be there as he is nominated in two categories. Whether he wins or not, we’re sure Ash-Abhi will root for him.

Can’t wait to see Aishwarya and Abhishek at the Oscars.

Ghanta Award: Aishwarya Rai wins worst actress: Aishwarya Rai is awarded with the worst actress Ghanta award at the award show which is a rip-off of Hollywood’s Razzies.

Last year Aishwarya Rai had four films. If she won the hearts of her Tamil fans with her Endhiran opposite Rajinikanth, she also bowled over the audience with her beauty and acting in Guzaarish, but her Action Replayy was a big let-down and her detractors didn’t spare her for Raavan too.

So, the actress has been named the worst of the lot at the Ghanta Awards.

Ghanta Awards as the name suggests acknowledges the best of worst in Bollywood from Diwali 2009 - Diwali 2010. Who are the other winners:

SRK's My Name Is Khan shines at Stardust Awards: The award season continued in Bollywood, as the B'town glitterati this time gathered in Mumbai for the stardust awards.

While filmmaker Karan Johar again walked away the trophies, this time for best film, best director and dream director, Bollywood's golden couple Rishi and Neetu Kapoor bagged the best actors award for 'Do Dooni Char'.

Hrithik Roshan won the best actor award in drama category for his performance in 'Guzzarish'.Kajol was all smiles as she was bestowed with the 'star of the year' award.
