Aamir Khan in 'Dhoom 3': Freida Pinto to star opposite him?
Aamir Khan in 'Dhoom 3': Freida Pinto to star opposite him?: The buzz around the leading lady opposite Aamir Khan in Dhoom 3 is really building up.
Just days after the word about three possible contenders (Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone) to bag the coveted role started doing the rounds, now another actress is rumoured to be under consideration. She’s no other than the Slumdog Millionaire starlet and Mumbai girl Freida Pinto who’s a hot property in Hollywood but hasn’t been lured to Bollywood yet.
The gossip is that producer Aditya Chopra is keen to make Dhoom 3 bigger and better than the previous two films in the franchise. And what would be better than to rope in the actress who’s made her mark worldwide.
Moreover, the pairing of Aamir and Freida would be unusually refreshing.
There’s also the buzz that Katrina Kaif is also a strong contender to clinch the role.
However, the production house Yash Raj Films is still in the process of finalizing the actresses.

Aishwarya Rai still as brand ambassador of 'L'Oreal'
Aishwarya Rai still as brand ambassador of 'L'Oreal': Officials of cosmetic firm L'Oreal Paris have denied reports that Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai has been replaced by Freida Pinto as the new brand ambassador.
Reports of Frieda replacing Aishwarya came up after the Slumdog Millionaire star featured in L'Oreal's 'Happy New Year' television commercial.
"We are shocked and surprised to read in some sections of the media/press about Ms. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan being replaced as the face of L'Oreal Paris," said an official statement from the firm.
"L'Oreal Paris strongly reiterates that this is absolutely untrue and that Ms. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan continues to be our valued spokesperson, as she has since 2000. While she remains an integral part of the L'Oreal Paris world wide Dream Team, she was unfortunately unavailable for our New Year commercial shoot due to prior commitments.
"She is one of the most iconic women of our times and is certainly the face of L'Oreal Paris internationally and in India for a range of products which include campaigns for Total Repair 5, Excellence Crème, Color Riche, Hydrafresh," the statement added.

Aishwarya Rai replaced over Freida Pinto for L'Oreal Advertisement
Aishwarya Rai replaced over Freida Pinto for L'Oreal Advertisement: She's famed as one of the most attractive women in the world - but Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is having to make way for equally stunning but younger model Freida Pinto as the Indian face of L'Oreal.
The Bollywood beauties have been pitched against each other after Slumdog Millionaire star Freida, 26, featured in the cosmetic firm's 'Happy New Year' television commercial with the brand's other global ambassadors - but not Aishwarya.
According to India Today, Former Miss World Bachchan, 37, has been permanently replaced by the younger model.
But a spokesperson for the Aishwarya told newspaper India Today: 'I don't know anything about it. We need to check out the details.
'Ash is busy with her upcoming performance at an awards function, so she can't speak on this issue right away.'
The model-turned-actress has been representing the brand since 2005, while Pinto joined in 2009.
It's not been a good few months for Aishwarya.
The Indian press have been criticising her for apparently putting on weight and she is said to be considering suing Elle magazine after they allegedly lightened her skin colour for their December issue cover shoot.
The actress herself has not commented on the situation, but friends of the Bride and Prejudice star have said she is 'furious'.
Freida's career meanwhile is going from strength to strength since appearing as a relative unknown in Danny Boyle's Slumdog - which also landed the beauty her co-star Dev Patel as a boyfriend.
She stars in forthcoming summer blockbuster Caeser: Rise Of The Apes alongside John Lithgow, James Franco and Andy Serkis.
She's also currently filming fantasy action movie Immortals with Mickey Rourke, which is due out in the autumn.

Freida Pinto on Harper’s Baazar - pics
Freida Pinto on Harper’s Baazar - pics: This winter, let’s move to the sunny side with Freida Pinto. The girl with the vernal smile looks mesmeric on Harper’s Bazaar December issue.
As we try to come out from her spell, her lovely pink dress catches our fancy; she is in LV, and the gorgeous outfit is from the Louis Vuitton 2011 resort collection. Unlike many other coverpages of Harper’s Bazaar, the Freida one is fresher and it also puts a smile on our face.

Freida Pinto makes a long distance relationship work!
Freida Pinto makes a long distance relationship work!: Freida Pinto admits that she and boyfriend Dev Patel have to make an extra effort to make their long distance relationship work.
So far their love has stood the test of time. More than two years since Freida and Dev started dating, the couple is still going strong and steady. But not without the challenge of meeting their professional commitments while continuing to keep love from fizzling out due to the physical distance them.
“I'm still with Dev. It's a challenge to meet mid-way because I live in Bombay. But at the same time we both support and respect each other,” Freida is quoted as telling Total Film magazine.
Freida’s home is in Mumbai though she has to travel a lot because of her work. Dev, on the other hand, lives in London, but he’s also out on the shoots mostly.
"We know this is our work. And we know that we've got to concentrate and focus on that as well, just as much as we concentrate and focus on the relationship," Freida added.
The couple met on the sets of Slumdog Millionaire and have been together since then. Touch wood!

Freida Pinto happily break the Hollywood stereotypes
Freida Pinto happily break the Hollywood stereotypes: Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto says she is proud to have broken Hollywood stereotypes in terms of leading ladies in films
The 26-year-old actress said she is glad to have broken long held convention of studios casting American, often blonde haired and blue eyed girls as the lead in films, reported Contactmusic.
"I feel really happy that I have broken that stereotype that 'it is not possible'.
Because I personally think that anything is possible. I feel the timing is right as well. The world is getting much smaller and that's the best way to embrace it," she said.
"Those other actresses have their own appeal and they bring whatever they bring to a film while I bring something that I do not particularly feel has been explored much in Hollywood," she added.
The Mumbai-born actress has been cast by director Julian Schnabel to play the lead role in 'Miral', a film about a Palestinian girl. Pinto is glad that American filmmakers are now more acceptive of actors from other ethnicities like her.
"I strongly believe that I am actually breaking down cultural barriers. I find it very interesting these days that films are bringing in so many people of different ethnicities and I'm proud to be a part of that cultural shift," she said.

Freida Pinto become a vain girl b/c of her beauty?
Freida Pinto become a vain girl b/c of her beauty?: Lots of compliments about her beauty made Freida Pinto a vain girl in her growing up days.
The Slumdog Millionaire starlet is quoted as telling contactmusic.com: “When I was small, a lot of people would say I was a cute chubby little baby, with light blue eyes, and my mum said initially I let it go to my head. But by the time I reached college, I kind of toned it down. It's like a growing-up experience.”
Now, Freida prefers to be complimented for her acting rather than looks.
The 26-year-old actress said: “I don't like that to be honest, every time someone tells me, 'You look so beautiful in the film'. I don't care! Just tell me if the performance was good.”
Freida is presently in the news for her two films: Miral and You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger.

Freida Pinto travelling globelly with her suitcase luggage
Freida Pinto traveling globally with her suitcase luggage: Freida Pinto has got so much work on her hands that she’s almost become a globe trotter, traveling from one city to another to meet her professional commitments.
“I'd like to say I live somewhere, but right now I'm all over the world with my three suitcases that I've been carrying with me for two years. I just keep changing the clothes in the bags,” the Slumdog Millionaire starlet is quoted as saying by Interview magazine.
The 26-year-old originally hails from Mumbai. But today London has become her second home.
“Literally, I have no fixed address. I call Bombay (Mumbai) my home, but I moved to London a bit last year when I was doing the Woody Allen film, and I loved that as my second home. I love New York as well,” she said.
Freida, who rose to overnight fame with the box office success and Oscar haul of Slumdog Millionaire, said she has worked hard to be where she’s today.
“Even though I was lucky, I had a lot of struggles before that. I said I was going to give up everything at age 25 and get into event management because nothing was going for me. I used to have a lot of nervous breakdowns,” Pinto told the magazine.

Dev Patel loving punched to Freida Pinto!
Dev Patel loving punched to Freida Pinto!: Freida Pinto still remembers small incidents that brought Dev Patel closer to her while filming Slumdog Millionaire.
One such incident was when Dev accidentally punched her in the face while giving one of the promotional interviews for the Danny Boyle-directed film.
“Small things bring so much joy to us, like when we were first doing interviews, there was one time when Dev punched me in my face by mistake,” Freida is quoted as saying by femalefirst.co.uk.
Apart from this ‘love’ punch, there were many other small incidents that Freida says only she and Dev can fully appreciate.
“The only two people who can understand what happened on Slumdog... are the two of us. Even our families, who appreciate and support us, are still on the outside and that is why we hold it so very dear to our hearts,” the 26-year-old star said.
Freida is presently in the news for her film Miral and the soon-to-release You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger.

Freida Pinto bored with lovey-dovey roles
Freida Pinto bored with lovey-dovey roles: Freida Pinto is apparently bored of playing the lovey-dovey roles on screen and is keen to do some action.“I keep playing the damsel in distress. But I'd like something with a kick now,” she is quoted as saying by Daily Mail online.
The 25-year-old Mumbaikar shot to fame as Latika in Slumdog Millionaire which went on to win eight Oscars and played a similar feminine character in Woody Allen's romance You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger.
Pinto admitted that she was nervous before shooting with Woody Allen.
“This was my third film, so I was worried I was the only one with a lot to learn. But when I met people like Anthony Hopkins who were feeling pretty nervous, I realised everyone is intimidated to work with a legend,” said Pinto.
Sadly, Pinto hasn’t got very flattering reviews for her performance in the Israeli-Palestinian film Miral.
