Mallika Sherawat inside the snake suit!: If you think that being an actor is easy, ask Mallika Sherawat what she had to go through while filming her latest film Hisss.

Since the siren plays a snakewoman in the film, she had to go through long sessions of make-up and of course slithering into an especially designed huge and heavy snake-suit that would render her immobile.

So once the make-up was on and she was inside the snake-suit, Mallika had to stay that way for hours, without even answering nature’s calls.

“Yes, it’s true that I had to sit for make-up for about six hours. I could also not simply slip out of the snake suit in between the shots. So, yes, I was not able to use the washroom for long hours,” say Mallika.

In hindsight, Mallika says all the effort she put in her role was worth it because the movie has shaped up very well.

Also starring Irrfan Khan and Divya Dutta, Hisss releases on October 22.

Mallika Sherawat prayers for 'Hisss' at the snake temple: Mallika Sherawat who plays a snake woman in her upcoming film Hisss, offered prayers at the famous Sree Nagaraja temple at Mannarasala in Alappuzha district, in Kerala, seeking divine blessings for the success of the upcoming movie.

"I have come here to give my respects to the snake god. It's after 24 years that a film on naag-naagin is coming up, so I prayed that the film does well," said Ms Sherawat.

The Bollywood actress reached here this morning from Mumbai and drove straight to the temple, the producer of the movie Govind Menon accompanied her to the temple. The Sree Nagaraja temple at Mannarasala was also one of the principal locations of the multi-lingual film.

Menon said that 'Hisss' produced under the banner of Split Image Pictures at a cost of Rs 30 crores, would be released worldwide in 2,200 screens on October 22. In India, the English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions of the film would be released on that day, while the Malayalam version would be released in Kerala on October 29.

Hisss is directed by Jennifer Lynch, and Mallika plays a half-woman, half-snake in the film. The film also stars Divya Dutta and Irrfan Khan.

Hisss is set to release on October 22.

Mallika who has returned to India after spending two years in the US filming Hissss, was in her elements at the event. She tormented the press not just with her curves but some jaded lines.

She also belted out a couple lines from a song that she has sung for the film, which evoked cheers and hoots from the audience and media.

She shared that it was Julian Lennon (son of John Lennon) who encouraged her to sing in the film.

Mallika Sherawat’s special appearence in TV Show for Hissss Promotion: In the run-up to the release of her long awaited film Hisss, Mallika Sherawat seems to be making all the right noises.

Since the siren plays a snakewoman in the Jennifer Lynch-directed film, she threatened to give a snake bite to the judges of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar! Mallika made a special appearance on the television show to promote the film.

Imagine the plight of the judges, Sajid-Wajid, Vishal-Shekhar and Daler Mehndi, when the sensational actress warned them that if they pass any negative comments, she will give them a snake bite, said a source from the sets.

The judges tried to adhere to her instructions and even had fun dancing with her on her popular song "Maiyya Maiyya" from Guru.

The Hisss special episode will be on air Saturday.

As per reports, the actress will hold a special screening of Hissssat the festival for De Niro and also for the director Martin Scorsese whom she met during Cannes at the Doha Tribeca event.

As a source is quoted as saying by a tabloid, “A special invite was arranged for her to represent Bollywood at the TFF. She will arrange to have her film screened specially for De Niro and Scorsese.” The Tribeca Film Festival is from October 26-30, while Hissss is releasing on October 22 in India.

The actress, who is also friends with the Princess of Qatar Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, will attend the inauguration of Doha’s brand new, state-of-the-art cultural village of Katara during the festival celebrations.

Impressed with Doha and the city’s hospitality, Mallika has expressed her pride to be associated with the TFF, and if you are thinking what she will wear then it’s going to be Dolce & Gabbana. The fashion house has a strong tie with the lady and has styled her for most of the international events.

“In my previous films, I had to kiss - but they were all humans. Here, I was kissing a snake with Jennifer yelling out to me, ‘Mallika, look passionate, you are the naagin’. There were so many retakes and the snake was rubbery, slimy,” Mallika is quoted as saying in an interview.

Her fans have been waiting a long time for the release of Hissss. Now, the good news is that the film will finally make it to the theatres on October 22. And guess what? Mallika is already hissssing with excitement.
