Shahrukh Khan now in an item song: When it comes to entertaining his fans, Shahrukh Khan draws no boundary for himself.

The superstar will turn into an item guy for his home production Always Kabhi Kabhi that will be the launchpad of Karim Morani’s daughter Zoa into the industry. Since Morani is a good friend of SRK, the superstar agreed to do an item song that will bring necessary publicity to the film.

The movie will be directed by Roshan Abbas.

The song will also have SRK flaunting his super-fit physique that he has developed for home production Ra.One and Farhan Akhtar’s Don 2.

This won’t however be SRK’s first item song. He had shaken his leg for a special number in the Roshans’ home production Krazzy 4. Before that he had done a dance number with Malaika Arora in Kaal, which was produced by good friend Karan Johar.

Guess when it comes to friends, SRK is willing to go the extra mile.

But Caterina Lopez did get the hang of a Bollywood item song.

Out of the blue, Caterina has hit the headlines for her raunchy item in director Ankush Bhatt’s film Bhindi Bazaar Inc. She claims to be a cousin sister of Jennifer Lopez but prefers not to talk about her relationship with the Hollywood star.

What she’s talking about rather is her experience of doing a Bollywood item.

“It was not easy learning the whole Bollywood style of dancing because it's very different. It's a different ball game altogether. Learning the song was also very tough but once I got a hang of it, it became better. Honestly I think I did a good job,” Caterina is quoted as saying by a news agency.

Now, Caterina is eyeing a career in Bollywood and is planning to learn Hindi soon.

“I'm still struggling with the language. Here and there I've learned a few words, but I'm definitely planning to get a teacher and learn Hindi completely,” she added.

If good offers come her way, Caterina says she might even make Mumbai her second home.

The picture has Bipasha Basu in the female lead but Deepika has been roped into specialty in an unique music movie that ought be utilized simply for the support of the picture and won’t be a part of it.

However, the makers were initially zeroing in on Katrina Kaif and even the names of Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra were doing the rounds. In fact, Deepika was never in the contention. But after the director received some astonishingly overwhelming response in favour of the ‘Break Ke Baad’ damsel, he was compelled to pull in the leggy Deepika.

Padukone has earlier done an item song in ‘Billu’ opposite Shahrukh Khan in ‘Love Mera hit hit’.

‘Dum Maro Dum’ stars Abhishek Bachchan, Rana Daggubatti and Bipasha Basu and is slated for a 22nd April release in 2011.
